EMBRACE All Latino Voices Privacy Policy

EMBRACE All Latino Voices ("EMBRACE," "we," "us") is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving multilingual Latino communities in North Carolina and South Carolina. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

Information we collect
- Volunteer applications: name, email, phone, address, languages spoken, preferred location, age (when provided)
- Membership records: name, email, payment history (managed via our payment processor, Zeffy)
- Service-recipient interactions: information you provide when you contact us for navigation, peer support, or program services
- Communications: emails, text messages, and WhatsApp messages you send to us
- Personal Notifications service: an internal automation system sends meeting alerts and task reminders from our staff's accounts to their own personal phones; the recipient is the same individual who operates the system

How we use information
- To provide community programs, peer support, navigation services, and health screenings
- To coordinate volunteer activities and events
- To send service updates, member communications, and event invitations to people who have signed up
- To comply with legal and grant-reporting obligations

Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties. We share information only with:
- Service providers (Zeffy for memberships, Twilio for SMS, Google for email/calendar) who process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms
- Government or grant-funder reporting where legally required, in aggregate (no personally-identifying details unless you have signed a separate consent)
- Community partners only when you have explicitly opted in (e.g., a volunteer event with a partner clinic)

Your rights
You may request to see, correct, or delete your information by emailing embrace@embracecarolinas.org. We will respond within 30 days.

Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Updates
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date below shows the most recent revision.
